Welcome to the employer resource library, we hope that you enjoy the content and can implement some of our solutions into your business.
There is no obligation to engage with us to hire your team, however, if you would like to discuss your specific recruitment challenges, then let us know and we will happily set up a call with you.
Here is the list –
Who do you need?
Knowing what you need, seems to be an easy question to answer initially, however, when you have a vacancy, this can be a great time to conduct a reality check within the business, are all the staff in the right jobs, could you promote someone who we could leave if we do not recognise their skills. Hiring the right person is essential.
The Job Advert
Creating the perfect advert can be a struggle to get this right, making sure you have enough in the advert so candidates apply, not to much that they get bored and stop reading. I have created an advert template you can use that we use.
Job Descriptions
The tip with job descriptions is to include as much relevant information about the role as possible, however, do try and keep this in a couple of pages. We have included a job description for you to edit as required.

The Search
If you are working with an agency they will cover this for you, however, if you have chosen to hire directly, make sure you check and research the best place to search for candidates. There are so many job boards, social media, word of mouth campaigns you could consider. If you need any help with this, do let us know.
The Selection
If you are searching for candidates yourself, consider setting up a list of questions and set criteria that fit your business, stick to this and you should get a good list of candidates to consider
The Interview
When you set up an interview, make a list of questions for every candidate, keep all the same and then you have treated everyone the same. You could make some questions competence-based and some more personal.
“Tell me about your current role”
“Why do you want to leave your current role”
“What do you like about your current role”
“How would your manager take the news of you leaving”
Here is a list of competency questions you could use too.

Checking if you are taking the right candidates to the second interview
You must make sure you pick the right strongest candidates for the second interview. A great way to double check yourself is to get the shortlist to complete a DISC test. This information will tell you more about how DISC can help you
The Job Offer
When you have made someone a job offer, make sure you follow up with them the same day with the offer in writing. Make sure they are happy and they have accepted the role. Apply for employment references as soon as they resign and start planning for the start date.
Time to Prepare for the start date, take a look at our onboard process to follow.
Planning for the first day starts as soon as you have made the offer. We have detailed a process for you to consider.
