Changing Careers

We start our career after education and this isn’t always the best vocation we thought it would be. Also, situations change in our personal lives and you just want to make a change to something more fulfilling.

We have created some tips here to read and consider when changing careers.

Your CV

The CV was initially created in 1480 by Leonardo De Vinci and this is known to be the first ever CV. However, it has come a long way since then. In today’s CV, getting this right is essential in making you the first candidate that the employer wants to call.

I often say to candidates, as a recruiter I have two piles of CVs’s The Yes pile and the No pile, however, sometimes I have a maybe. This is the CV that has questions, maybe you have gaps in your employment, or maybe it’s missing a profile or skills section. If I have enough candidates in the yes pile, the maybe pile becomes the no pile.

Here are two CVs you can use, pick the most relevant and remember to tailor this to your skills.
